APC Moves to Reconcile Abdulrazaq, Mohammed, Saraki

The National Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated moves to reconcile the Kwara State Governor, Mr. Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq; the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, and the Minister of State for Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki.
The crisis of confidence among the three leaders has led to a split of the party into two factions in the state, with one faction backing the governor while the other faction is supporting Mohammed and Saraki.
The apparent misunderstanding between the three leaders came to a peak when the Mala Buni-led caretaker committee of the party removed the state Chairman, Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa, and replaced him with his deputy, Alhaji Samari Abdullahi. ....

Kwara APC Crisis: Has Gov. Abdulrazak pulled a masterstroke? -

ABUJA: The simmering crisis in the ruling All Progressives Congress APC in Kwara state boiled over within the week when the opposing camps shifted the battleground to the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.
One of the camps is led by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, while the other is jointly led by Information and Culture minister, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Minister of State, Transport, Sen. Gbemisola Saraki.
At a point, it would appear that the state governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak was losing out as the Gov. Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC on December 11, 2020 inaugurated Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, an ally of the two ministers as the Caretaker state Chairman of the party. ....

A faction of the All Progressives Congress loyal to the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Thursday, accused failed politicians of trying to destabilise the party.
The governor’s supporters, acting under the aegis of Kwara APC Elders Forum, alleged that persons who tried but failed in their bid to become governor, were behind the emergence of a group of party supporters trying to undermine the governor.
Chairman of the forum, Kunle Suleiman said this when he led a delegation of party faithful to a media briefing at the APC National Secretariat, Abuja.
He was accompanied to the briefing by Nigeria’s immediate-past ambassador to Malaysia, Nurudeen Muhammed and Senator Suleiman Ajadi. ....

Concerned Kwara Elders and Stakeholders the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State have thrown their weights behind Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, while describing Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, and Minister of State for Transport, Gbemisola Saraki, as paper tigers.
Led by Kunle Suleiman, the party chieftains expressed support for the decision of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led National Caretaker Committee of the party to sack Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa as chairman of the party in the state.
Amb. Nurudeen Mohammed, who addressed reporters on behalf of the elders, maintained that the party’s decision to appoint Alhaji Abdullahi Samari to replace Bolarinwa was in the best interest of the party. ....

The crisis rocking the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) took another dimension yesterday with a group within the party, which identified itself as Concerned Kwara APC Elders/Stakeholders describing the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and Minister of State for Transport, Gbemisola Saraki as paper-weight politicians with no electoral value.
The concerned elders, which is a faction loyal to the state governor, Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq, also declared support for the APC National Caretaker Committee Chaired by Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni for the removal of Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa as the state party Chairman. ....
