State power discom APDCL is working to restore power supply in Uzanbazar, Chandmari, Narengi, Gitanagar, and Paltanbazar areas after storm disruption. Restoration works ongoing in affected areas like Paltanbazar, Gitanagar, and Chandmari. Updates on power restoration efforts in Guwahati post-storm.
Organisers Shaliwahan Singh and Riteshwari Kumari told Free Press that there was a demand from elders of the area to take the youth out of alcohol addiction as a large section of them are glued to locally available liquor.
