Man walks from Johor to Pahang for cancer kids

Spreading awareness: Muchlis accompanied by members of the support group arriving in Kuantan.
KUANTAN: A 57-year-old man walked alone for hundreds of kilometres in order to raise awareness on children with cancer.
Muchlis Ilyas started his journey from Desaru, Johor, on Dec 25 and made it to Kuantan, Pahang, in a week while pulling a makeshift trolley containing his baggage.
He is doing it for Kumpulan Ibu Bapa dan Sokongan Anak-anak Kanser (KIDS), a support group based in Kuala Lumpur.
“My youngest son has ADHD and I came to know about this group of parents who have children suffering from cancer through his paediatrician in 2014. I have been supporting them since then. ....
