Delhi Police Arrest Guwahati Resident for Duping People with Fake Online Job Ads
A Guwahati resident was arrested by the Delhi police in Kolkata for duping 25 people by posting fake online job ads, promising them of securing jobs abroad.

New Delhi: A 48-year-old man was arrested by the Delhi police from Kolkata over allegations of deceiving people by posting fake online job advertisements, assuring the victims work abroad.
The accused have been identified as Samir Arvind Parekh, a resident of Guwahati in Assam. The Delhi police said that the fraudster confessed to having duped over 25 people giving them fake hopes of securing jobs abroad.

NEW DELHI: A CBI court on Tuesday sentenced Ashutosh Verma, the then Deputy Director (Investigation) of the Income Tax and two others to one year rigorous imprisonment with Rs one lakh fine each.
A CBI spokesperson here said that the Special Judge for CBI cases sentenced Verma, a private person Suresh Nanda and chartered accountant Bipin Shah to undergo one year Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs one lakh each in a CBI case.

ANKARA: European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel are heading to Turkey on Tuesday for talks with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in an effort to reset strained relations.
In addition to meeting the Turkish President, the EU officials also have discussions scheduled with representatives of the International Organization for Migration and other UN bodies, reports dpa news agency. These meetings are likely to cover EU financial support for Syrian refugees in Turkey, as well as Ankara s recent withdrawal from the Istanbul convention on tackling violence against women.

NEW DELHI: Resurgence of COVID infections along with re-imposition of partial travel restrictions in some major states has triggered a clamour among a section of airlines for reduction of flight capacity. Accordingly, industry insiders contend that rising cases have severely impacted demand leading to cancellations. Notably, the Centre till now has allowed airlines to deploy 80 per cent capacity.
The domestic sector was reopened on May 25, 2020 with a limited capacity of only 33 per cent. Since then the operational capacity has only been increased in-consonance with rising passenger traffic.
