Nhlanhla Ngqaqu on Kulture Blues Festival and why he canât celebrate Africa Month Share The Pan-Afrikan jazz band Lâka Biko, together with legendary poet Makhafula Vilakazi and jazz vocalist Thandi Ntuli, are set to headline the inaugural Kulture Blues Festival. The two-day festival features music, dance, poetry, jazz and literature at the South African State Theatre on Friday, May 14. iPhupho Lâka Biko will be performing in the capital city for the first time since the release of their hit single, âUthixo Ukhonaâ, a seminal sermon about the plight of black people and protest. Commenting on the event, Nhlanhla Ngqaqu, the leader and founder of the group, said: âCulture Review (movement) is doing important cultural work for blacks and now having an inaugural festival is a milestone in using art to advance the revolution. ....
