Tarn Taran: A Punjab police officer and a head constable have been accused of taking Rs 3.5 lakh bribe to let off two drug peddlers. The accused inspector Baljit Singh has now been booked and is absconding. The incident took place in Tarn Taran district.
The head constable identified as Davinder Singh has been arrested. The FIR in the case said that Baljit Singh along with Davinder arrested one Malkiat Singh alias Palta and his brother-in-law Bau Singh with 1 kg heroin on March 31.
