Lordy, lordy, look who’s 40. The Friends of Kuemper Ball hit that milestone with kickoff of the annual fundraiser held Wednesday night, Jan. 31, at Carroll Brewing.
Supporters of the Kuemper Catholic School System gathered this (Saturday) evening for the 2021 Friends of Kuemper Ball, raising over $650,000 for the school. Following the entirely virtual event a year ago, community members were back at the Kuemper Field House for in-person festivities for “A Night to Unite,” the theme for this year’s ball. At the conclusion of the evening, the chair couples and their children announced a grand fundraising total of $651,312 plus money raised from the night’s auctions. The coveted vehicle raffle for a $20,000 voucher to Champion Ford, Macke Motors, Motor Inn, New Way Ford, Team Auto Group or Wittrock Motors was won by Matt and Kelly Wendl of Carroll, and the $10,000 ag raffle to Haley Equipment, Jet’s Outdoor Power, Reuter’s Equipment or Van Wall Equipment was claimed by Alvin Mueggenberg of Arcadia. Saturday’s ball was also live-streamed via YouTube and a link to the full presentation and award announcements can be found included below
