Counter services at Govt agencies in Pahang to resume tomorrow

KUANTAN (Feb 10): All counter services of State and Federal Government departments and agencies in Pahang which had been suspended since Feb 2 will be allowed to resume operations tomorrow. The service is being opened four days earlier than scheduled, however, it is subject to standard operating procedures (SOPs) that State government agencies must comply with, while Federal government agencies are encouraged to adopt them. Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said among the set SOPs were that the counters would operate from 8am to 8pm in three shifts, while sanitisation work has to be done for 30 minutes before a new shift starts.

According to a report by Bernama, the remark was his response to media members when asked to comment with regards to the threat made by Anonymous Malaysia (AM) during a press conference yesterday. ADVERTISEMENT What made his remark rather interesting is that it took place not long after AM published a list of government websites on its Facebook page that the group claimed to have been defaced by another group called Cyberpunk Team as part of #OpsWakeUp21. As noted in the list, these websites belonged to Sabah and Perak state governments as well as the Royal Malaysian Customs, Construction Industry Development Board, and Selayang Municipal Council.

Covid-19: 40 Kuantan Municipal Council employees test positive, HQ closed temporarily

KUANTAN (Bernama): The Kuantan Municipal Council (MPK) headquarters complex has been temporarily closed from Monday (Feb 1) after about 40 of its employees were infected with Covid-19.

Perak Transit teams up with Energetic Point to run Kuantan bus terminal

KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 14): Perak Transit Bhd has teamed up with concession owner Energetic Point Sdn Bhd to operate Terminal Sentral Kuantan in Pahang, which serves as a hub for express buses as well as local city buses. Perak Transit said the collaboration is in line with the group’s business plans to develop and operate integrated public transportation terminals in other cities. The collaboration is consistent with the overall corporate strategy to capture opportunities to further expand its business to provide its valuable experience and know-how in terminal set up, management and operation of bus terminals.
