About 40 people from in and around three villages in Albania’s Kruja district have been arrested or declared as wanted following raids of greenhouses, warehouses, apartments and forested areas in the district.
So far, 16 people have been arrested for cultivating or aiding in the cultivation of cannabis, according to

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against three people, although they have been released on their own reconnaissance because of their ages (17, 70 and 78, the last reportedly the chief of Nikël village).
