Randy Hillier said he doesn’t care how many charges he gets for speaking out against Ontario’s COVID-19 lockdown, something he did Monday in Chatham.
The defacto leader of the province’s growing anti-lockdown movement, and maverick MPP, said it’s part of the price to pay for stopping the country’s “social murder,” brought on government’s COVID-19’s “false, fear-based agenda.”
“I don’t’ care how many tickets they give me,” the independent MPP told a vocal and enthusiastic 300-plus crowd at Chatham’s Tecumseh Park Monday. 
“We can wallpaper our walls with tickets. We must regain our freedom. No more lockdowns.” ....

Leamington restaurant owner and supporters continue to fight shutdown restrictions


WINDSOR, ONT.
A Leamington restaurant owner is continuing her fight against lockdowns.
Kristy Leathem, the owner of Family Kitchen at 73 Erie Street South, was part of a rally outside her business with dozens of people on Tuesday morning.
She is upset over provincial orders that state her restaurant must be closed to indoor dining.
“The minute that you walk into a grocery store, you’ve proven a point that every business can open safely,” said Leathem. “Everyone has a right and freedom to earn a living.”
This is the second rally in two weeks outside her business.
“From the bottom of my heart I am so thankful, grateful and blessed for the love and support we’ve been receiving. My heart is overwhelmed,” she told supporters. ....

The Registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) suspends and moves to revoke liquor license of Family Kitchen restaurant in Leamington Ont., for non-compliance.
Earlier this month, owner of Family Kitchen located at 73 Erie Street South, Kristy Leathem, defied the provincial COVID-19 shutdown orders and remained open for in-person dining.
“If Walmart down the street can remain open at 50 per cent capacity why can’t I?” said Leathem on April 6. 
AGCO said on Saturday in a statement, that the Leamington restaurant s liquour license would be suspended effective immediately for reasons of public interest and safety. ....

None of us can forget the Adamson BBQ saga, during which an Etobicoke restaurant opened for indoor and outdoor dining for multiple days in defiance of provincial lockdown rules at the time, becoming a home base of sorts for those protesting government-imposed restrictions in the process.
It appears that another establishment has now done the same, remaining open since February 3 despite the provincewide shutdown that was implemented on Saturday and the stay-at-home order introduced yesterday. ....
