Kearns selected to lead New Concord Village Council

NEW CONCORD In its first meeting of the new year, New Concord Village elected councilmember Kristi (KJ) Kearns as president of council.
Council voted between Kearns and longtime council president Robert Dickson at Monday s meeting. Kearns, however, received four votes to Dickson s two.
The role of president of council will be to act in place of the mayor at council meetings when the mayor is absent.
I ll certainly work hard and do my best (for the village), Kearns said. 
She began her tenure on council in 2019 when she was appointed to fill the vacated seat left by Bil Kerrigan. ....
