It s a lemonade stand that started off small but has always stood for something big.
Joe Carr, of Richfield, is a longtime patient of Gillette Children s Specialty Healthcare. He has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair to get around and an augmentative communication device to talk.
This is the sixth summer he s held a lemonade stand to raise money for other Gillette patients. Every year, it gets a little bit bigger. The first year, we raised $200 and we thought that was a big deal, said Joe s mom, Kristi Carr. The next year, it doubled . and it just kept growing. Last year, we raised almost $11,000. It was insane!
