North, Southern States are preparing as fema is deploying personnel to several states. The storm could make landfall in florida as early as tomorrow and a hurricane watch has been issued for the sunshine state. With winds reaching 145 Miles Per Hour, Florida Governor rick scott is telling people to prepare for the worse and not to take Hurricane Matthew lightly. If matthew directly hits florida there will be massive destruction that we havent seen in years. This is nothing something that we want to play with. And the other thing i would tell everyone is if you dont get out in time, you might actually get stuck and i think thats worst Case Scenario is to be stuck on the coast and have no place to go because you didnt meet the evacuation time. Wmurs Jennifer Crompton live in hampton where police are saying those charges could be upgraded. Reporter it was in a motel room behind me that police say they found a panel of fentanyl, open and accessible, the same room where a young child was found unresponsive hours earlier. Tonight what happened in that room and how that child died are still not clear. 30yearold leo witham faces misdemeanor child endangerment charge as well as drug possession and falsifying evidence felony charges, all in connection with the death of his 19monthold stepson. This after police say he left the powerful opioid fentanyl open and accessible to the child. The case unfolding last wednesday morning, when police say witham brought the boy to the Hampton Fire Department after 11 00. He was very distraught, obviously, the child was unresponsive and trying to make trying to help contact his wife. Reporter it was later confirmed that the boy had died.
