New Delhi: Echoes of the on-going farmer agitation in the national capital have reached poll-bound West Bengal with BJP Chief JP Nadda set to launch two campaigns- “ek mutthi chawal sangrah” and “Krishok Surokkha”- during his one day visit to the state on Saturday.
The move comes against the backdrop of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee slamming the Narendra Modi-led BJP government at the Centre for passing the three farm laws. She is convening a special session of the West Bengal Assembly on January 27 to pass a resolution against the farm laws. The Goods and Services Tax, which has drawn the ire of the states after the Centre expressed its inability to pay compensation to the states, will also be discussed. ....
