PATNA: The opposition RJD cornered the government in the state legislature on Tuesday over promoting and transferring a doctor, who had died in February this year.
RJD MLA from Sheikhpura Vijay Samrat displayed outside the assembly premises the March 8 notification through which the government had transferred Dr Ram Narayan Ram as the civil surgeon of Sheikhpura district, even though he had died in February 7 this year when he was posted as incharge of Bikramganj sub-divisional hospital.
Earlier, RJD MLA Lalit Kumar Yadav raised the issue on the floor of the House during the zero hour. Speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha said the government had taken serious note of the matter.
