The Giants already made two crucial moves to help the defense before the offseason even began. First they extended defensive back Logan Ryan on a three-year deal. Then, they extended defensive coordinator Patrick Graham before he could interview for the Jets head coaching job.
For a defense that was shockingly effective in 2020 Pro Football Focus ranked it 12th in the NFL those two played a significant role.

Heading into 2021, the offense is clearly the bigger concern, but there are plenty of holes on the defensive depth chart that need to be filled this offseason.
