Hyderabad: A massive tree plantation drive, offering of a 2.5 kg “golden saree” to a deity and blood donation camps among other activities marked the celebration of the birthday of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao, who turned 68 on Wednesday.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, chief ministers of various states and several other leaders and film stars greeted Rao, also the chief of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS).
In a tweet, Modi said, “Greetings to Telangana CM KCR Garu on his birthday. Praying for his long and healthy life.” ....

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], February 17 (ANI): Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekar Rao planted a rudraksha sapling on his birthday on Wednesday.
As part of his Green India Challenge, Chief Minister participated in Koti Vriksharchana (meaning one crore saplings in a day) initiated by Telangana Minister Joginapally Santosh Kumar.
The Green India Challenge programme of one crore plantations (Kotivriksharchana) as part of the Chief Minister s birthday celebrations is continuing all over the State. On the request of Santosh Kumar, Chief Minister KCR himself participated in the programme and planted a rudraksha sapling, read a state government press release. ....

Hyderabad, Feb 17 : Plantation of one crore saplings was taken up on Wednesday to mark the 67th birthday of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Ministers, MPs, state legislators and leaders of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) planted the saplings as part of the programme held across the state.
TRS sympathizers also took up plantation in neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, Delhi and even abroad on a call given by Rajya Sabha member J. Santosh Kumar as part of his Green India Challenge. ....
