Jordan Lewis has urged Richmond not to chase out of contract midfielder Adam Cerra and instead hold onto their multiple first round draft picks.
The Tigers are in grave danger of missing the finals this season, following successive losses to St Kilda and Gold Coast, leading to questions about how they might position themselves during the off-season to make another run at a premiership in 2022.
Damien Hardwickâs side will have access to two first rounder draft picks at the end of the season, with one tied to Geelongâs finishing position.
With Cerra â who still hasnât re-signed at Fremantle â remaining a target for several Victorian clubs, Lewis said Richmond shouldnât give up several top picks and salary cap space to chase the silky midfielder.

Tom Papley has revealed he has a âbit of a pactâ with some of the competition s best small forwards.
The 24-year-old Swans forward has been in fine form to start the year, most notably kicking the winning goal against Geelong in Round 6.
Papley said he shares a unique bond with some of the other small forwards in the competition, keeping in contact with the likes of West Coastâs Liam Ryan and Melbourne young gun Kysaiah Pickett.

The Easter weekend matches produced some shock results with Sydney stunning reigning premiers Richmond and Essendon thrashing 2020 finalist St Kilda.
Brisbane’s after-the-siren victory was also a highlight with Zac Bailey kicking truly to sink Collingwood.
