Elsewhere around this part of the world, the nikkei was still trading, and it got off to a strong start as japanese earnings came out a little stronger than expected in the wake of the disaster there. but the nikkei fell back by the close. let s take a look at the numbers. nikkei closing down just a tenth of 1%. but if you look go a little further south in sing more, the straits times down by 1.5%. and in seoul, the kospi was i beg your pardon, was up by about 0.8%. we talked about earnings coming out in japan. well, there s a similar story in the u.s. where there s another wave of financial results which are on the way. now, if you look at the what s happened so far, 137 s&p 500 companies have already posted results. about 75% have beaten estimates. and this is what we can expect in the week ahead. starting on monday, look out for netflix. netflix comes out after the bell ....
