"통화 시끄럽다" 버스승객 항의에 폰으로 머리 때린 교수

4일 서울 영등포경찰서는 올해 5월 시내버스를 타고 가다 휴대전화로 다른 승객의 머리를 때린 혐의(특수상해)로 서울 모 사립대 교수 A씨를 검찰에 송치했다.

당시 버스에서 통화 중이었던 A씨는 시끄러우니 조용해 달라 는 피해자의 말의 격분해 말싸움을 벌이다 이같은 범행을 저질렀다.

A씨는 피해자가 먼저 자신의 멱살을 잡는 등 시비를 걸었다고 주장했다. 그러나 경찰은 A씨가 정당방위를 넘어 과잉 대응을 했다고 보고 검찰에 사건을 넘겼다.

경찰은 피해자도 폭행 혐의로 입건해 조사했으나 A씨가 피해자에 대한 처벌을 원하지 않는다는 의사를 밝혀 공소권 없음으로 수사를 종결했다.
