As the story unfolds, a new teacher (Shakeela) arrives at the village school, endeavouring to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of superstition. The film explores the fate of Ranga and his rooster.
“I came to Bengaluru for a livelihood more than a decade ago. I wanted to provide an opportunity to my daughter Rajeswari to act in a Kannada movie. My dream was to see her on the silver screen. So, I decided to invest all my savings to bankroll this movie,’’ Somasekhar says.
Director Mahesh Goravale said this is his debut as a director. “The movie conveys a message on animal sacrifice and superstitions in rural areas,’’ he said.
