Up. is that a tactic? is there something going on that perhaps requires further explanation? why would you want to it happen sooner? i thought the trump plan of delay, delay, delay, would be pretty consistent with all these folks. yeah. first, it is warp speed. her hand was forced when she said october 23rd. why would he want to? first to separate himself out from everyone, to be able to tell his own story. defendants seek to do that by looking to sever but that s not something that a court has to grant. whereas a speedy trial motion like his in georgia, they do. now sidney powell has done the same thing so there may be two where he hoped to only have one. that s the first reason. to separate himself out and tell his story first. the second is a bit of a gamble. it is their burden, a big burden. even if it is a scramble for me, i ll bet it is a bigger scramble ....
People like catherine frees. we of course know sidney powell was part of that mix who was working with donald trump post-election. i want to read a couple of these texts that came through a firm that was hired to examine the voting machines. in one of the texts it says just landed back in d.c. with the mayor, an apparent reference to former new york mayor rudy giuliani. huge things starting to come together. the texts continue, most immediately, we were just granted access by written invitation to coffee county s systems. yay. these messages were sent in january 2021, right around the time the breach occurred. and again, giuliani s attorney has insisted he had nothing to do with this. we ll see what the grand jury has to say. sara murray live outside that courthouse in atlanta for us. jim? with a possible grand jury vote on a trump indictment as soon as tomorrow in georgia, the former president on the public attack again, going after key players and witnesses in the 2020 elec ....
That said, given things in the republican party right now, you and i both know it could get insane very fast. we will be watching that. today also was the disciplinary hearing at the texas bar association for trump lawyer sidney powell. you ll remember her for taking a lead role alongside rudy giuliani in trying to use the courts to push the insane trump claims that the presidential election was stolen from him a year ago now. mr. giuliani has already had his law license suspended in new york because of the many, many false claims he made to the courts. now sidney powell is facing the prospect of similar penalties, up to and potentially including her disbarment in texas. this hearing today was held behind closed doors. if the texas bar association s disciplinary committee finds grounds to move forward on disciplinary proceedings against her as a lawyer, that trial, effectively a trial for her law ....
