How three out-of-work Toronto cooks launched thriving online businesses

Every week a new online food business pops up in Toronto.
Back in March 2020, out-of-work restaurant chefs and home cooks experimenting in the kitchen during their newfound, lockdown-induced free time started selling meals of all kinds via online businesses.
Some are industrious people whose hours were cut when restaurants pivoted to takeout and delivery. Some are falling back on passions to make a living, and some are just having fun and seeing where things go.

My experiences as a student-athlete at York have made my University experience something special and the years that I will cherish most after completing my degree. I always want to have pride in what I do, and how I perform, whether it’s athletics, academics, or even my small business. I know I won’t be an athlete forever, but I will carry over the traits I have acquired as a student-athlete into my small business and whatever else I find myself doing in the future.
Each cookie is also finished off with a brief torching. These create her raspberry cheesecake and blueberry cheesecake cookies, and cinnamon bun cookies which are her own creation. Get a six-pack for $15, or order a 12-pack for $26, and you can add on three of either of the other cookie varieties to mix and match.
You can order online, and pickup is available every Tuesday between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Saturday between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Delivery is available on Saturdays between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. for a $5 flat rate in the GTA. But act fast, because Sherwood s cheesecake-filled cookies are selling like hotcakes.
