Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) confers a PhD degree posthumously for the first time in its 58 years of existence. Mohit Patel, an assistant professor, received the degree from governor Acharya Devvrat at the university’s 55th convocation.
Veer Narmad South Gujarat University has decided to slap a fine of Rs 1,000 on the six students and direct them to submit a fitness certificate from a psychiatrist.
The reason: These students wrote about their friends’ love affairs and stories with adult content while also using abusive words for their principals and professors in their answersheets when they appeared for university exams in October.
