India reported 11,713 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the positive cases tally in the country to 1,08,14,304, according to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Saturday morning.
With 95 more deaths due to the Covid-19 infections, the total number of fatalities in the country has climbed to 1,54,918.

Drone cameras were deployed at Tikri border on Saturday to monitor the law and order situation in the wake of chakka jam call by the farmer unions who were protesting against the farm laws, reports ANI.
Farmers on Monday announced a countrywide chakka jam on February 6. Due to that heavy police personnel deployed across Delhi-NCR including Shahjahanpur (Delhi-Rajasthan) border.

The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to run Kisan Special trains from Agartala to Howrah and Sealdah from February 11, for the benefit of the farmers and transporters of NE Region, an official said. Kisan Special Train will leave from Agartala at 1915 hours once a week on Thursday and will reach Sealdah on Saturday.
The train will have stoppages at Dharmanagar, Badarpur, Lumding, Guwahati, Kamakhya, Goalpara, New Bongaigaon, New Alipurduar, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Khaltipur, Bardhaman and Bandel for loading/unloading, a statement issued by NF Railway said.

The voluntary scrapping policy for old and unfit vehicles announced in the Union Budget for 2021-22 will help create jobs for 25 lakh people and lower the price of auto components by as much as 40 per cent, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said here on Saturday. In Wardha to attend some programmes, the minister said moves initiated by the Centre will make India an automobile manufacturing hub in five years.
