District administration officials in Ludhiana have successfully lifted 44,700 metric tonnes of wheat from grain markets in the last 24 hours, with a total of 6,18,013.45 MT wheat procured. Farmers have received payments worth Rs 1,267.2 crore, and elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth wheat procurement operation. Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney is overseeing the operations to maintain efficiency and space availability for fresh produce.
