KIRKBY Lonsdale Community Interest Company look forward to welcoming people back to the Phoenix Rising Art Taster programme. Beginning on May 23, Kirkby Lonsdale CIC and Green Close art studio will deliver the first in-person workshops at Lunesdale Hall. They will start with a family friendly one-day workshop called Kirkby Towntastic, a making and drawing workshop led by Danielle Chappell-Aspinwall which will produce bunting to be displayed around town. Then Sue Flowers, artist and director of Green Close, will give an introduction session to her three-week workshop series called Tree of Life, where participants will work with clay to make Mexican nature-inspired candlesticks. ....

FREE face-face wellbeing sessions will be on off from the Kirkby Lonsdale Phoenix Rising Art group. Having started on May 10, the Community Interest Company will be delivering their second week of free art and wellbeing workshops to Lune Valley residents, in collaboration with Melling arts organisation Green Close.
