Matt Boldy skated with the Wild Wednesday morning, and he could be back on the ice inside Xcel Energy Center Wednesday night to make his NHL debut in Game 6 against the Golden Knights.
Coach Dean Evason said the Wild has some game-time decisions to make and Boldy is available to us if we see fit to put him in. The only forwards who didn t participate in the Wild s optional morning skate before Game 6 were Marcus Foligno and Nick Bonino, although those two don t usually skate in optional sessions.
Boldy had six goals and 12 assists in 14 games with Iowa in the American Hockey League, where Boldy began his pro career after leaving Boston College in March to sign an entry-level contract with the Wild. The forward was drafted 12th overall by the Wild in 2019.

LAS VEGAS – Rookie defenseman Calen Addison will make his playoff debut for the Wild on Monday night at T-Mobile Arena, a must-win Game 5 for the Wild to extend its season after falling behind 3-1 in the best-of-seven series to the Golden Knights.
Carson Soucy is out with an upper-body injury. He s a great player, veteran forward Nick Bonino said of the 21-year-old Addison. I m sure there s nerves but seems like the younger guys these days are getting more and more self-assured and ready to go whenever they re called on.
Acquired in the Jason Zucker trade with the Penguins last season, Addison skated in three regular season games with the Wild – receiving rave reviews for his composure on the ice. He ll draw in on the Wild s third defensive pairing alongside veteran Ian Cole, who was Soucy s partner before Soucy got hurt.

ST. LOUIS – The Wild and Blues are about to get extremely familiar with each other.
Not only is Friday s matchup at Enterprise Center the start of a back-to-back and three in a row overall, but the game is the first of seven head-to-head battles the rest of the season.
St. Louis trails the third-place Wild by 10 points in the West Division, sitting fifth. We were able to come out on top [last game], coach Dean Evason said, referring to the 2-0 win at Xcel Energy Center on March 25 in which the Wild was outshot 37-11. But they had the majority of the play. They shot the puck all the time. We have to keep them out of our zone. Our forecheck early and often has to be there to keep them out, obviously, of our end.
