We begin with a developing story out of ecuador tonight. The countrys president now says more than 270 people have been killed in yesterdays 7. 8 magnitude earthquake. And the number is expected to grow in the coming days. Here is where the earthquakes epicenter was. Its more than 100 miles from the Nations Capital city of quito. The damage is widespread. And the focus right now is find survivors such as this woman. Pulled from the rubble of a collapsed building. She was simply shopping in a store when the roof fell on top of her. Also earlier today a scene of hope as firefighters rescue this 7yearold girl. She was found inside of a hotel. Now in the coastal town of la esmeralda, 90 of the homes there are either damaged or completely destroyed. It is not too far from where the quake was centered. Nearby there are buckled roads and impassible highways. A vallejo man is stuck in the quake zone in ecuador. Now trying to find his way ....
