Dec 23, 2020 ESCANABA Dwaine R. King, 71, of Escanaba, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at U.P. Health System – Marquette. He was born on March 9, 1949 in Escanaba, son of Fred J. and Agnes R. (Martin) King. Dwaine graduated from Escanaba High School in 1967 which was the first class to have all four years completed in the new high school. He also attended Bay de Noc Community College. Dwaine served in the U.S. Army from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1970. He was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Start medal, Army Commendation Medal, Expert (Rifle) and Marksman.
