NIEEE: Executive Order 5 Implementation Will Boost Local Capacity

The Nigeria Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) has stressed the need for the implementation of Executive Order 5 in order to enhance growth of local capacities among manufacturers and solution developers.
NIEEE, therefore called on the federal government to expedite action in the implementation of the law which it stated would empower the local manufacturing.
According to engineers, the previous efforts of government geared towards achieving economic development had relied on the use of foreign aid, investment in machines, fostering education at the primary and secondary level, controlling population growth and giving loans and depth relief on reforms to stimulate the economy with a view to achieving self-sufficiency. ....

Engineers Advise on Healthy Living

Given the nature of human body that is designed to be in a state of wellness, the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) have stressed the need for organisations to maintain healthy living at work place.
Guest Speaker, Mr. Tony Akinyemi, who spoke at the Safety and Health Lecture, in commemoration of the 2021 World Day for Safety and Health at Work, organised virtually by NIEEE recently, said Deficiency, Abuse, Toxicity/Toxemia, Injury, Infections, Sedentary Living and Stress (DATIISS), were the major causes of diseases in the human body.
Akinyemi spoke on the topic, ‘Understanding the Causes of Diseases in Humans.’ ....

The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE) has challenged Nigerians and Nigeria on safety and improved working environment.
Joining the rest of the world to commemorate the 2021 World Day for Safety and Health at Work, NIEEE said a better working condition would spur workers to perform better.
At a virtual forum organized by NIEEE, the guest speaker, Tony Akinyemi, said the human body is designed to be in a state of wellness, which is always striving to be healthy. He however, said some factors are always the creator of diseases in human bodies.
Akinyemi, who spoke on the topic, “Understanding the Causes of Diseases,” stated that the major causes of diseases in the body can be termed as D.A.T.I.I.S.S. ....
