Peter Duhig, who stopped breathing for 15 minutes after completing a 10k race in Spain where his wife Cath and he emigrated in 2017, has written Tullylease: When Irish eyes are miling. The book focuses on the story of a race, and a life, that wasnât thought possible. A young man has the calling of the Catholic Church, but on his way to being a priest, a passion for athletics takes a hold of him. ....
King s Lynn teacher to walk Norfolk coast in 24 hours for charities Published: 07:30, 12 February 2021 A Kingâs Lynn school teacher will walk the Norfolk coast in the summer to raise money for two charities. Alex Walpole, a PE teacher at the Kingâs Lynn Academy, will endeavour to walk the Norfolk Coastal Path in just under 24 hours in aid of Parkinsonâs UK and Maxâs Foundation. Mr Walpole, 27, is putting his best foot forward in memory of his late grandad Geoff, while also raising money for a pupil at the Academy who underwent major heart surgery last summer. 100 hamper challenge is a success for King s Lynn Academy | Updated: 12:45, 22 December 2020 Staff and students from King s Lynn Academy delivered 100 Christmas hampers to the elderly and community groups across Lynn. For the last two years they have hosted a meal at the Academy, with 100 attending each event. Due to Covid and social distancing restrictions, organisers had to rethink the event to ensure the safety this year.
