Wood Engravers Exhibition on Display at UK Libraries

The Wood Engravers’ Network’s fourth Triennial Exhibition is on display in the lobby of University of Kentucky Libraries Special Collections Research Center through Oct. 29. The exhibit coincides with the King Library Press Fall 2023 Book Arts Weekend, featuring Philadelphia-based artist Rebecca Gilbert and Kentucky artist Joanne Price.

King Library Press Hammer International Book Arts Biennale welcomes printer Richard Kegler

Kegler will kick off the weekend with the free public lecture, “Victor Hammer, The Man from Uncial” at 7-8:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11. The next morning, Kegler will host “A Letterpress Workshop,” alongside King Library Press Director Paul Holbrook, Ph.D., running from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12.

National Archives, UK Libraries to present Earle C Clements Award to Kentucky educators

The National Archives and the University of Kentucky Libraries Wendell H. Ford Public Policy Research Center will present the 2022 Earle C. Clements Innovation in Education Award to three Kentucky teachers: Peyton Barnhill of Flat Lick Elementary School, Kelly Beckett of Royal Spring Middle School, and Brandon Forshey of Summit View Academy.

American History Scholar Tracy Campbell Awarded Medallion for Intellectual Achievement

Created in 1990 and considered one of UK's most prestigious awards, the medallion honors a Kentucky resident whose accomplishments represent the pinnacle of education and creative thought in the fields of science, literature, art and philanthropy.
