HYDERABAD: In a tragic incident, at least seven people died due to inadequate oxygen supply. The incident took place at the King Koti Hospital, a dedicated COVID facility of Telangana state government on Sunday.
According to reports, the oxygen tank at the King Koti hospital showed low pressure at around 3 pm on Sunday. An oxygen tanker truck that was supposed to arrive at the hospital by 3 pm to refill the tank arrived late as the driver had reportedly lost his way near Jadcherla.
Narayanaguda Police swung into action and traced the truck and further guided the driver to the hospital. Narayanaguda Inspector G.Bhupati said that the tanker reached the hospital around 3.30 pm. By then, nearly seven patients had died. ....

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], May 10 (ANI): As many as seven COVID-19 patients, who were on ventilator support due to their critical condition, died at King Koti Hospital here on Sunday.
Relatives of the patients alleged that delay in the oxygen supply is the reason behind these deaths.
The oxygen tanker which was supposed to come to the King Koti Hospital was accidentally diverted to another hospital, the police have confirmed.
Speaking to ANI over the phone, Additional Superintendent of King Koti Hospital, Dr Jalaja said that all the seven patients were in critical condition due to COVID-19 infection and hence they have been put on ventilators. ....
