Wanda Battle to speak about civil rights, King Jr.

Wanda Battle, tour director of the church where the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used to preach, will be the guest speaker for an Illinois College-hosted virtual lecture titled “Human Rights and You.”
The program will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Battle will discuss King’s work, the civil rights movement, and the history of Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. A question-and-answer session will follow her talk.
