If im not mistaken, this is the 30th journal of democracy book at Johns Hopkins has published since the series began in 1993. These volumes, which mostly but not exclusively draw up on articles that previously appeared in the journal have addressed a very wide range of regional issues related to democratization around the wor world. It is a quarterly publication sponsored by the National Endowment for democracy. It has become a leading global forum for serious analysis of the problems and prospects of democracy around the world.
