As it continues to repair damage to the electrical power grid following Elsa, which has left thousands without electricity for a week and counting, BL&P is raising concerns about the practices of telecommunication companies. Yesterday, its regulatory administrator Kim Griffith-Tang How said the untidy wiring of some telecoms companies had been providing a challenge. “We have observed that there are some untidy telecommunication lines on our poles and this is no secret. This is very concerning to us and it is something that I believe, after reflecting over the last few days, that we really need to revisit and engage the telecom providers on the infrastructure on our poles and how this impacts our poles and our ability to provide the service to our customers,” said Griffi ....
