Trumpism – Why Chamisa must shape up on Covid-19 – part 3

Nelson Chamisa

Zimbabweans are once again faced with the reality of the pain, sorrow and tears that come with Covid-19, in just over a few days, known people or friends, have either died, or have tested positive to the virus.
We are trying to imagine a Zimbabwe whose politicians are compassionate to our suffering. Imagine just for this once, a country in which the Coronavirus is not a tool to score political points. ....

Covid-19: Bad behaviour cost us | The Standard

Covid-19: Bad behaviour cost us
health talk:with Dr Johannes Marisa
Covid-19 is worsening by the day with no easy solution in sight. The world is in a quandary with the traditional superpowers being the greatest casualties in the world. The US has lost more than 317 000 people followed by Brazil, which saw around 185 000 of its citizens losing their precious lives. Zimbabwe has recorded about 316 deaths with total number of official cases being around 11 700 cases. The so-called smaller countries have proven their mettle in containing the spread of Covid-19.
Covid-19 control does not need people who have egotistical behaviour. All players who are involved directly or indirectly in Covid-19 control should have proclivity for a healthy nation and should therefore be for the people. Being driven by self-centeredness is not only detrimental to personal health but to the well being of the nation in general. Many people have lost their lives because of this gratuitous charac ....

Mnangagwa tightens grip on national elections swinging province, Masvingo

Emmerson Mnangagwa
MASVINGO – While the just concluded DCC elections could have dealt a body blow to unity in the ruling Zanu PF party, in Masvingo Province President Emmerson Mnangagwa has tightened his power grip as all those who romped to victory are his strong allies.
Sources close to the goings on in Masvingo told The Mirror that Mnangagwa was keeping a close eye on Masvingo as he wanted to consolidate his power hence the deployment of his blue-eyed homeboy, Joram Gumbo to ensure that there is no misstep.
“The deployment of Gumbo was not by coincidence, Mnangagwa wanted to make sure that all goes according to plan, mind you he is the one who superintended the contentious provincial chairmanship elections which were repeated twice with Mnangagwa’s strong ally Ezra Chadzamira winning on both occasions. ....
