These are some of the allegations that find mention in a two-volume file of 570 pages submitted to the Lokayukta and the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) by an activist belonging to the Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha.
Though the complaint was filed in March and there are allegations of fraud to the tune of crores of rupees, the activist, Nage Gowda, says the authorities were yet to take cognisance of it or initiate any action. He has also drawn the attention of the Governor, the Chief Secretary, and other officials in the bureaucracy to what he suspects to be a scam. ....

Kindly King and Kathvadipura Agrahara - Star of Mysore

There is an Agrahara in Mysuru with a name that sounds somewhat strange. Though this is an old Agrahara, like the other Agraharas in city, its name does not match with the names of other Agraharas. And that is Kathvadipura Agrahara as generally called though its actual name is ‘Kathvadipurada Agrahara.’ This Agrahara is in Fort Mohalla.
Except for three or four Agraharas, most of the other Agraharas in Mysuru have the names of the wives of the Maharajas. They are either constructed by the queens themselves or built in their honour. Only a few Agraharas built in the later years have names not related to them like the Sreenivasan Agrahara and the Ramachandra Agrahara. But how did this Agrahara, with a distinctly different name not related to any of these, get its name? ....

The voluntary initiative has been on since 1990s
Scores of birders will embark on the mid-winter water fowl census covering nearly 150 waterbodies spread across Mysuru-Mandya-Chamarajanagar belt on Sunday.
This is the longest running voluntary effort entailing bird census in vogue since the 1990s in Karnataka and has helped create a robust database of bird population and number of species present that comes to roost in the landscape. ....
