Prairie senior Lilly Bash won the individual 3A state championship with a 781 pin score across four games, senior teammate Karley Wold-Hayes finished fifth with 738 pins and the Falcons placed third as a team with 4706 pins.
The Hudson’s Bay girls basketball team took a big step toward earning at least a share of the 2A Greater St. Helens League title, rallyin from a slow start to beat R.A. Long 54-47 on Monday in Longview.

Taylor McRae’s solo home run in the bottom of the sixth was the game-winner as Columbia River edged Hockinson 9-8 to stay undefeated.
McRae’s one-out shot to center field broke an 8-8 tie and allowed the Rapids (10-1, 5-0) to remain atop the 2A Greater St. Helens League.
Gabby Ventura went 2 for 4, scored twice and had two doubles as River’s leadoff hitter. Halley Jordan went 3 for 4 with two RBI.
The Rapids have three games remaining, including a season-ending showdown against 4-0 Ridgefield on Saturday.
