Household garden waste collections to resume BROWN bin collections will resume for Hartlepool residents from Tuesday, April 6. Initially, households will receive one brown bin collection every four weeks, although it is hoped to increase the frequency of collections to fortnightly in due course. Kieran Bostock, Hartlepool Borough Council’s Assistant Director - Place Management, said: “The decision to initially resume with one collection every four weeks is in line with current health and safety guidance in respect of the safety of our teams, and it also reflects the pressure on existing resources due to Covid-19. “However, if cases continue to fall then, hopefully, we will soon be in a position to be able to review the situation and move back to fortnightly collections.”
