In some cases, when numbers appear to be trending in a positive direction, it’s because families weren’t getting the services they sorely need. These were among the compendium of data on the health of children in Rhode Island, compiled every spring by Rhode Island’s Kids Count, a nonprofit child advocacy that belongs to a national network.
