A group of four adventurous Kenyans decided to test the limits of a Toyota Wish when they embarked on a 4,859Km journey to South Africa - a trip that took 23 days.
Their mission to watch the World Cup was one filled with adventure and new experiences and their choice of vehicle was not their initial plan as they were initially scheduled to take on the African roads on a Land Cruiser.
Nevertheless, they successfully completed the journey with the vehicle. For Kiarie, Shem, McCrutch, and Jomo dubbed Shhteam FC, their goal to Watch a World Cup match in South Africa was one that they were determined to see through. ....

A gentle wind broke the stillness of the night, rustling the leaves of the foliage fence surrounding the house, setting them dancing, a motion that put Kiarie even more on edge as he peered off intensely trying to distinguish innocent movement from the threat that was raising the hairs on his head.

Basilio Ngunjiri, brother to Benga musician Albert Gacheru, is dead

Just days after the music fraternity mourned the demise of renowned Benga musician Albert Gacheru, the family has confirmed that his brother Basilio Ngunjiri has also died.
Basilio Ngunjiri wa Kiarie, 69, died while receiving treatment at a hospital in Ol Kalou.
Speaking to the Standard, a distraught Julius Ngunjiri who is a brother to the deceased, said Basilio, popularly known as BN died after exhibiting Covid-like symptoms for several days. 
My brother had just received the Covid-19 jab at a local health centre on Tuesday last week. Prior to that, he had Covid-like symptoms that got worse this week. His death is another blow to the entire family that is yet to come to terms with the death of our brother Albert Gacheru, says Julius.  ....
