National April 28, 2021 SUKKUR: The police presented accused Syed Khursheed Shah before the Accountability Court Sukkur on Tuesday in a corruption reference of Rs1.23 billion along with 18 other co-accused, including his two wives, his nephew and Sindh transport minister, Syed Owais Qadir Shah, and MPA Farrukh Shah. While talking to media persons outside the court, PPP’s leader Khursheed Shah said rather than pursuing the opposition, Prime Minister Imran Khan should ask the people about his government’s performance for the past two and a half years. He also asked the media to bring PM’s earlier statements and announcements he made during the election campaign, so that people could analyse the performances of the PTI’s incumbent government and they could also know how many promises Mr prime minister had fulfilled. He said the political agitation against Imran Khan should be carried out to take the masses on board and it should not be stopped. ....

Talking to media persons outside the accountability court in Sukkur on Tuesday, Khursheed Shah criticised the federal government for banning Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and said it should have brought the issue onto the assembly floor first, then taken action against it. He blamed the PTI for the riots, violence and killing of innocent protesters in order to hide its incompetency, adding that the PPP would have resolved the crisis through table talks, but Prime Minister Imran Khan was not ready to resolve issues through negotiation. Shah said the assembly has become a fish market, which he has never seen during his 32-year political career. ....

GB CM Khalid Khursheed discusses Bhasha Dam project with Wapda chief National LAHORE: Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Muhammad Khalid Khursheed Thursday called on Wapda Chairman Lt-Gen Muzammil Hussain (retd). Matters relating to hydro development in the region, particularly Diamer Bhasha Dam project and the confidence-building measures (CBMs) undertaken by Wapda in the project area for socio-economic development of the locals were discussed in detail during the meeting.
