At least 11 people have been killed in Assam as flood situation worsened on Monday. Over 26 lakh people have been affected in 25 of Assam s 33 districts so far, officials said. An Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) report said four fresh deaths were reported from Jorhat, Barpeta and Dhubri districts.

New Delhi- On Sunday, Dr. Naveet Wig, the head of the department of Medicines in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) said that the positivity rate of the novel coronavirus can be brought down to under 5% in the coming 3 weeks if we as a collective society take responsibility and adhere to COVID-appropriate behavior.
Government of Sikkim Issues New Guidelines Amid COVID-19 Surge
Sikkim issued fresh guidelines pertaining to the entry of people from the Rammam Check Post and the closure of educational institutions amid a surge in COVID-19 cases.

Sikkim- Amid a rising number of COVID cases in Sikkim, the state government on Monday decided to issue a fresh set of guildelines pertaining to the entry of people from the Rammam check post in West Sikkim and the closure of various centre or state government-aided educational institutes, universities, colleges, tutorials, hostels and coaching institutes.
With respect to the regulations for the entry of people from the Rammam check post in West Sikkim, the government has instructed the post-in-charge to maintain the daily IN and OUT register where the details of the person and the time of entry and exit shall be strictly recorded. The names of only those people who are entering and exiting West Sikkim on the same day
The Office of Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire to be Shut for 48 Hours from 26 April
In an office order from the Government of Nagaland, the Office of Deputy Commissioner in Kiphire is to be sealed off for 48 hours from the 26th of April 2021.

Nagaland- As per the office order issued by the Government of Nagaland, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner in Kiphire is to be shut for 48 hours with respect from the 26th of April 2021.
The public, therefore, is prohibited from entering the premises of the Deputy Commissioner s office till the 27th of April 2021.
The public of Kiphire is advised to wear masks and follow the SOP guidelines issued by the state government while entering the office of the Deputy Commissioner from 28th of April onwards.
