Samiullah Zare, an army officer, was killed on Sunday evening when he was attacked by unknown armed men in Dasht-e-Barchi area in Kabul’s District 18. He was carrying cash obtained from selling his home and was attacked when he returned from the property dealer s office. The thieves took over 1 million Afs from him, Zare’s relatives said. “We call on the government to ensure justice and follow this case. Car bomb explosion targets peace affairs ministry official in Kabul

A car bomb explosion happened on Monday at Kabul PD10 in the morning. The incident reported near the office of Saadat Mansoor Naderi.No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast. Police said that there were no casualties in the blast. According to security forces, The incident happened at around 7:26 am local time in the Shaheed roundabout in Kabul PD10 after Nabizada s vehicle hit by an IED. Afghanistan s Minister of State for Peace Affairs. informed that the blast targeted an armoured vehicle that belonged to Khushnood Nabizadeh, head of Naderi s office in Kabul. KABUL Freshta Kohistani, a prominent women’s rights activist and former provincial council member in Afghanistan, was shot and killed along with her brother in her hometown of Kohistan district in Kapisa province on Dec. 24. The two were on a motorbike when gunmen opened fire, according to the Interior Ministry. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. Kohistani, 29, led many protests on behalf of women’s rights and raised awareness on social media about violence against women in the country. She also participated in the presidential election campaign for Abdullah Abdullah. Kohistani was the second activist to be killed in as many days. Mohammad Yousuf Rasheed, the head of an independent election monitoring organization, was shot and killed in an ambush in Kabul on Dec 23.
