Ex-Khabarovsk Governor Furgal definitively indicted
MOSCOW. Feb 3 (Interfax) - Former Khabarovsk Region Governor Sergei Furgal has been definitively indicted on counts of involvement in the murders or attempted murder of three businessmen in 2004-2005, Russian Investigative Committee spokesperson Svetlana Petrenko said. According to investigators, Sergei Furgal is the organizer of a criminal group which attempted to murder Alexander Smolsky and murdered Yevgeny Zorya and Oleg Bulatov in 2004-2005, Petrenko told journalists on Wednesday.
Furgal has been definitely indicted on counts of murder of two or more persons by an organized group for personal gain using a socially dangerous method and illegal possession of weapons and explosives, she said.
