Luray, VA - Tragedy struck the Bayshore this week as 18-year-old Ty Sauer, a Union Beach, NJ resident (and Keyport High School graduate) was found dead in Shenandoah National Park.
Facebook and other outlets had hundreds of comments about the lost young man and prayers for his safe return.
Sadly, the search ended without hope. The details are not clear but may have involved an earlier car accident.

Keyport school board introduces budget; sets public hearing for April 28
Following a discussion among district administrators and board members, the budget was introduced on March 17.
A public hearing is scheduled for April 28. The budget, which may be revised until that date, may be adopted by the board following the public hearing.
The budget will be supported by a tax levy of $11.4 million to be paid by the borough’s residential and commercial property owners. Other revenue includes an appropriation of $715,045 from the district’s surplus fund (savings).
The district’s 2020-21 budget had a school tax rate of $1.39 per $100 of assessed valuation. The owner of a home that was assessed at $290,000 paid about $4,031 in school taxes.

KEYPORT – D.J. Thomson is writing his own story on the basketball court at Keyport High School and continuing the success his brothers Alex, Connor and Bryan had before him when they played for the Red Raiders.
All three of Thomson’s older brothers went on to play college football. They also played basketball during their scholastic days at Keyport.
