this is close to downtown willio glen. joins us now from there with what we know. jean. reporter: raj, there is a large police presence in willow glen. about half an hour ago we heard a gun shot. sources tell us a gunman has shot himself after shooting two people inside an apartment. we do know the s.w.a.t. team was called to negotiate with a man who was barricaded inside aen apartment after shooting two people. this incident is happening around the corner on laura vill lane. they tell us the was a child in the apartment and in danger. sources say that child got out of danger. we don t yet know the details of how the child got to safety. they heard police using a loud speaker saying come out with your hands up. but unsafe because something s happening. yeah very safe there s lot of people protecting us but not safe that there s someone that could be a shooting. this is a tense, quiet police operation unfolding here in willow glen. we re waiting for a police spokesperson
