Sources tell us a gunman has shot himself after shooting two people inside an apartment. We do know the s. W. A. T. Team was called to negotiate with a man who was barricaded inside aen apartment after shooting two people. This incident is happening around the corner on laura vill lane. They tell us the was a child in the apartment and in danger. Sources say that child got out of danger. We dont yet know the details of how the child got to safety. They heard police using a loud speaker saying come out with your hands up. But unsafe because somethings happening. Yeah very safe theres lot of people protecting us but not safe that theres someone that could be a shooting. This is a tense, quiet Police Operation unfolding here in willow glen. Investigative reporter has the exclusive interview. Raj and jess, were talking about bryce lemons, a former musician that fell on hard times. He says what followed was a complete lack of care that changed his life. After nearly ending it. Hes spent much of the past decade hopeless and homeless. It was two years ago, the day after christmas when he fell asleep behind a santa rosa supermarket. According to a Police Report it was about 40 degrees outside. An officer found him intox kated and shivering and believed lemons urinated himself. They picked him up for an outstanding shop lifting charge but first took him to the hospital for medical care. They said if my body had dropped another degree or two i probably would have died. Reporter he was treated for hypothermia and then taken on the jail. He was placed in a cell wearing his same wet clothing. It was about 12 to 14 hours i waited to be housed and change my clothes. So after just having been diagnosed with hypothermia, you were put in a jail cell with wet clothes . Correct. I asked for medical attention probably a few hours after i had gotten to the jail and she said that theres no doctors on sunday. You have to wait till monday. Reporter but jail records show he wasants treated until tuesday after appearing in court, he complained of his pain care immediately. By the time almost 72 hours went by without seeing somebody, the damage was done and there was nothing they could do bute it. Reporter his feet turned dark purple, his toes black. Both legs were diagnosed with gang green and all the toes on his right foot had to be amputated. And they told me what had to happen, i sat there and oh, my god. I dont wish that on anybody. The Sonoma CountySheriffs Office says inmates should never be denied medical care. So you know this would have been a break from policy. You cant say for certain whether someone would have broken that policy. That would be extremely unlikely especially if someone were to point out that condition. At the end of the day he had to undergo amputations. Who should be responsible for that . Lemons is now suing Sonoma County and the california forensic medical group, the company contracted to provide medical care. Greg braun is his medical attorney. The staff at the jail acted maliciously and left the cell for several hours before he was given dry clothing. What was he wearing when he came to the jail . His wet clothes were hospital clothes. He was still wearing wet clothes . I dont know. Were officials aware he had just been diagnosed with hypothrtia about an hour before he got there . Lemons had documents company declined our repeated our requests. I dont have lemons i still feel my foot. It hurts. Attorney tells us theyre still waiting to receive other documents from the jail.
